This 6 ha family oriented resort on the north coast of Hainan island is targeted to become the first premier resort within this region of the coast. Part of a larger planned community, the site consists of a hotel and twenty villas surrounding a lushly landscaped lagoon style pool with adjoining spa facilities, as well as both wet and dry playgrounds, event lawns, beachside barbecues, meditation garden, and a fitness course.

 

The landscape is sculpted into a series of planted mounds emerging through a forest of coconut and other palms that define areas of use, create human scaled spaces, and direct views through the previously flat site.
